When asked to perform at King's coronation, Taylor Swift reportedly declined

The 33-year-old musician reportedly declined an offer to perform at the coronation concert on May 7th, as she was engaged in her Eras Tour in Nashville during that period.

Swift wasn't the sole high-profile artist to turn down the invitation - Elton John, Spice Girls, Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, and Adele also reportedly refused.

Organizing a concert lineup was described as a challenge, yet Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, and Take That performed at the London event. The reporter highlighted the deeper implications of these refusals, citing the perceived lack of gravitas around King Charles III.

While Perry and Richie expressed excitement and awe at being part of this historic event, the refusals sparked discussions about celebrity involvement in such ceremonies. Taylor Swift's Eras Tour has been immensely successful, projected to gross over $1 billion by its conclusion in December 2024.
