Men Do Not Like Nice Women – Toke Makinwa


Renowned Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has voiced her belief that men may not appreciate overly nice women, suggesting they might interpret it as naivety. She shared this perspective on her podcast, TokeMoments.

On the contrary, her podcast guest, the talented skit maker Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, offered a different viewpoint. Kiekie emphasized the importance of tactfully guiding a man, asserting that it enhances his functionality. According to her, men tend to benefit from gentle reminders.

She illustrated her point, saying, “For instance, when we had our child and she needed to go to daycare. My husband understood this, but in the rush of getting to work, he would occasionally forget. It took a few weeks of consistent reminders from me before it naturally integrated into his routine.”

Toke Makinwa maintained her position, suggesting that Kiekie's husband might be more open to correction because he is "easy-going," while implying that many men may not share this trait.
