Netflix Unveils Thrilling Trailer for Kunle Afolayan's Upcoming Film "Ijogbon"

Netflix has just dropped the electrifying trailer for Kunle Afolayan's highly anticipated movie, "Ijogbon," taking audiences on an exhilarating adventure.

The film revolves around four teenage youths hailing from the rural village of Oyo Oke in South-West Nigeria. Their lives take an unexpected turn when they stumble upon a pouch filled with valuable diamonds. Chaos ensues when the rightful owners of the diamonds come searching for their stolen treasure. Now, these teenage friends must navigate a turbulent journey as they band together to save one of their own.


With the release of this trailer, fans finally get a glimpse of what to expect from the movie. This comes after sneak peeks from production photos in January 2023 and the official poster reveal in August 2023.


"Ijogbon," a coming-of-age adventure film created by the talented Kunle Afolayan, was shot at the Kunle Afolayan Productions Film Village and Resort. The stellar cast includes Ruby Akubueze, Kayode Ojuolape, Fawaz of Ikorodu Boiz, and Oluwaseyi Ebiesuwa as the four young friends at the heart of the drama.


In addition to this promising lineup, the movie features Gabriel Afolayan, Adunni Ade, Manuel Bimbo, Yemi Solade, Sam Dede, Gregory Ojefua, Saeed Mallam, Femi Branch, Femi Adebayo Salami, and Dorathy Bachor.

"Ijogbon" was written by the talented Tunde Babalola and is part of Netflix's impressive lineup, with seven films unveiled in August 2023. The film is set to premiere on the streaming platform on October 13, 2023. Fans and film enthusiasts eagerly anticipate Afolayan's latest creation, marking his return to feature filmmaking since the release of "Anikulapo" in 2022. There is a palpable buzz surrounding this project from the award-winning filmmaker, and audiences are eager to see what cinematic magic he has in store.
