The Department of Public Health's Financial Management Division is seeking a highly qualified, organized, self-motivated professional to fill an Account Clerk II position. Day shift available.
Essential Job Functions
  • Processes and sends out cellular telephone bills to users.
  • Tracks and sends out notices to users.
  • Records and updates cell phone payments to the log.
  • Updates Non-Sufficient Fund (NSF) to the log.
  • Processes NSF checks including all follow-up requirements.
  • Reviews documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Works in a team setting.
  • Order deposit ticket books, deposit bags, and endorsement stamps.
  • Process referral to Treasurer and Tax Collector for collections.
Requirements
Must currently be a permanent Los Angeles County employee who holds the payroll item of Account Clerk II.


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good attendance records.
  • Ability to work independently.
